The point is that he changed his mind because the idea of people dying for this cause bothered him.

The logical conclusion I draw from your article is that those soldiers should continue to die because, dammit, we said we're going to war and its going to stay that way until we can hang a giant "Mission Accomplished" banner on an aircraft carrier and not get made fun of for it.

Maybe you'll say I don't support the troops, but if the troops (not to mention the half million Iraqi civillians) are all dead, thats not very good support either.</description>
