Rubber Rooms For Teachers In Trouble

Check this out! In NYC, teachers who are suspended pending an accusation are kept on the payroll, but not permitted to work. Instead, they are sent to “The Rubber Rooms.” Sounds like a place in a mental institution (they also show up in schools: Darien padded room complaint: Parents file for hearing).

Somebody should call the producers of the old Big Brother show! They could revive the show for a few seasons. Imagine the soap operas that occur in that place.

Best thing about it is the show won’t have to pay the teachers. They couldn’t possibly beat the benefits the teachers are already getting.
