The RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) has long been adept at biting. But apparently in all its biting it is starting to devour its own market. Recent reports show the music industry as a whole has been diminishing for a while now in a trend rather uncomfortably tied with the rabid dog mentality of the RIAA.
Though I think any substantive change in such an organization is inevitably a simplified result of a complex set of circumstances, and I do believe that the trash which currently passes for most of the output of the music industry is in no small way contributing to this general decline. I also believe that the RIAA and its champion legislative success, the DMCA
(Digital Millenium Copyright Act) are immoral, the Act inherently so and the Association by action.
