LOL, he's got a point Matt. :)

Anyways....

I'll stick with Romans 13:

"1 ¶ Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3 FOR THE RULES ARE NOT A TERROR TO GOOD WORKS, BUT TO THE EVIL. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil."

This is a good example of what the STATE government is for, and ONLY for correcting evil within and without. Its not for social security, wealfare, healthcare, public school, or anything of that socialistic hope! Its for administering the sword. Now in applying that to 9/11, I believe America has the right and obligation to kill Bin Laden and his group, but I am relunctant to say anymore. We can't be the worlds' police. And we need to stop protecting all the other countries because if they want to live, they will fight for it! And if they don't, then they deserve death and defeat!

Hello, I have been reading your postings for some time now and felt that I should comment on this one. Whenever I find someone to be in the wrong or ignorant of a particular fact in my area of expertise I like to try to open his or her mind. My credentials may be of help to you, although yours is an easy argument to rebut. I have a PhD in Political Science, and am now a Professor at Penn State University, before my current job as an educator I was a political advisor to some top government officials (the names of which must remain anonymous). First I would like to ask you this question; where do you get your information? It seems to me that you just get a thought in your head and run with it, as there are no sites or sources anywhere in your writing. Now I understand that this is a blog, but when you start writing stuff like “…free them from a bondage which they readily admit to suffering and desire to be free of…” or “Were it not for the global aspirations of the entities inciting terror breeding in these regions, I’d be hard pressed to find a rationale for continuing this war.” then you better have some evidence to back up your claims. First you only know what you hear on the news, you said yourself, for awhile you were stuck with only BBC and CNN. Let me tell you right now my friend, you can only trust about .01% of what you hear on the news. The media is going to twist and construe ALL events in that “war on terror” to line up with their beliefs and agendas and the beliefs and agendas of their governments. So what makes you think that these people are going to be happy under a democratic government, they are not an individualistic society like that of the United States or her allies. There is only a fraction of the population of Iraq celebrating the death of Saddam Hussein, for most of the country, they couldn’t care less. The media has edited and re-edited, cut and pasted so many times you cannot trust anything they say. Your second statement is even more unbelievable, there is only one reason we are in that “war on terror” there is only one reason we were in the first gulf war, do you truly know what that reason is, because your answer to that question in your quote above is excuse my French, BULL SHIT. Our government is the most corrupt on earth, and if you don’t believe that, you are naïve. We are not there to free the people of the middle east, or to stop terror on those countries. We are there for one reason and one reason only. The same reason Hitler sprinted across Russia in a desperate attempt to break through Stalingrad. We are there for the same reason the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor at the time that they did. We are there my friend for the same reason the first son of a bitch named George Bush went there in the 90’s. Though I will agree with you on this point, we are there to stabilize the region but not for the reason you would think, we are there to stabilize the region so that the black gold is cheaper and more abundant, yes my friend you have guessed it, we are there for the OIL. That is it my friend, one word to sum up the goal of the United States for the past 60 years. Perhaps you are familiar with the saying “He who controls the oil has the power, and he who has the power rules the world”. Do you know how the Bush family got rich? I will give you a hint, they are from Texas. Do you truly have an ear to hear with. Wake up my friend, open your eyes and ears, get educated. If I had to guess I would say you are between the ages of 19 and 25, you sound young and on fire, a true patriot of the United States, or are you a true patriot for your idea and understanding of what the United States stands for, because I guarantee you it is a different country than you think. The would is laughing at you my friend and you are thrilled to death about it.
I just want to address one more issue. This next quote was in the next blog that you posted: “Any leader anywhere who does not support the defeat, eradication, and complete anhiliation of those who would destroy our way of life and that of our allies and all our children must be sent down in flames.” It sounds here like you are suggesting doing to them what you say they did to us. That is not the Christian walk of the “United States Patriot”. Don’t get me wrong, I am not a liberal, in fact I am far from it, I read my Bible every day and I do truly believe that Islam is a vile and evil religion and that yes it does need to be extinguished, but don’t get that confused with what the US is really doing in the middle east. And please unless you do some REAL research do not talk about other US wars, It is a great hobby of mine, studying all the US wars, and I will tear you apart when it comes to discussing them. When you say, “Consider past wars, wars we actually won, as well as the one we lost.” I am sure you mean Vietnam being the “…one we lost.” Go back to school man, Vietnam wasn’t even a war, it was a conflict, war was never actually declared, but it doesn’t really matter because that was a political conflict anyway, and had nothing to do with freeing the Vietnamese people, if it did, we would have won. And you weren’t even alive during the politics of the Vietnam war so don’t sound ignorant by writing about it, or even mentioning it when trying to make a point that is false anyway. Proverbs 12:15 states, “The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice.” Please listen to this advise, go do some real research on the internet. Be skeptical about what you hear especially on the televised media. And talk to some Political Science Professors and Sociology professors at a University where you live and pay special attention to the Sociology professors that teach middle eastern classes, they are a great source of information about politics today and what’s really going on in this would.
May God give you the Wisdom to listen to these words and repost an intelligent blog.

P.S. Please stop trying to put “big” words together. I am sure you are just trying to make yourself look more qualified to speak on these issues so that people will listen to you, but all your doing is making it harder for young people to understand you, and older people to stop reading because they immediately catch on to the fact that you are young and not qualified. Take this encouragement, if you really have something to say, people will listen.
